(ECNS) -- After inspection by Yuncheng Customs in north China's Shanxi Province, 25 metric tons of wood ear sauce produced by a Shanxi company were shipped to Malaysia on Tuesday. This marks the first time for this canned sauce to be exported abroad.
Supporting the export of edible fungi is a key move in developing Yuncheng's specialty agricultural products for rural revitalization, according to Yuncheng Customs.
To ensure the wood ear sauce meets export standards, risk control has been strengthened, especially regarding raw materials, pesticide residue, and heavy metals.
The exporting company is a modern enterprise specializing in developing edible fungi. On March 29, the company's shiitake mushroom sauce was exported to South Korea.
