(ECNS) -- Manzhouli Port in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region handled a total of 678 return China-Europe freight trains delivering 70,750 TEUs of goods in the first quarter of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 7.1 percent and 5.3 percent respectively, China Railway Harbin Group Co., LTD data revealed Wednesday.
The volume of return China-Europe freight trains through Manzhouli Port reached a historic high for the same period in China.
Known as China's largest land port, Manzhouli provides a main eastern corridor for the China-Europe freight service.
So far, return China-Europe freight train routes through the port have connected more than 60 cities in China, including Harbin in Heilongjiang Province, Shenyang in Liaoning Province, Xi'an in Shaanxi Province, Nanjing in Jiangsu Province, Zhengzhou in Henan Province, Changsha in central Hunan Province, and Chengdu in Sichuan Province. Cargo transported cover 12 major categories, including daily necessities, industrial machinery, and agricultural products.
Manzhouli Customs has actively optimized the business environment for clearance procedures and continuously improved the development of a modern logistics system to enhance the service capacity of China-Europe freight trains.
