Chinese President Xi Jinping recently paid state visits to Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia. During an interview with China News Network, Neak Chandarith, director of the Institute for International Studies and Public Policy, Royal University of Phnom Penh, noted that the state visit reaffirms the "ironclad friendship" between Cambodia and China, and positions Cambodia as a trusted partner for China.
In addition, Chandarith pointed out that initiatives to strengthen the "Diamond Hexagon" cooperation framework and accelerate projects like the "Industrial and Technological Corridor and Fish and Rice Corridor" align the BRI with Cambodia's Pentagonal Strategy, fostering industrial modernization and agricultural productivity.
