The Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants signed in 2001 officially took effect in 2004. Over the past 20 years, the convention of global significance has paved the way for steadfast progress in safeguarding our planet.

As one of the first contracting states to both draft and sign the Convention, China has rallied the efforts of its various departments and industries over the past 20 years.

Today, the nation's chemical management system is stronger than ever, and governance demonstration areas have blossomed, flourishing like mushrooms after a nourishing rain.
