First shipment of Lao bananas arrives in Beijing via cold-chain train

The first batch of fresh bananas aboard the first international cold-chain train of the China-Laos Railway (Vientiane-Kunming-Beijing Pinggu) arrived at the Beijing-Pinggu Logistics Hub on Sunday.　

The train departed from Vientiane South Station in Laos with 390 tons of bananas on Oct. 12, entered China through Mohan Port in Yunnan Province, and arrived in Beijing.　

Compared with traditional methods, this shipment used a full cold-chain and smart logistics system, speeding up delivery and reducing costs.
