According to Chongqing Zoo, a pigeon pair of panda cubs, given birth by giant panda Er Shun, got their names after online voting. The elder brother was named Yu Ke and the younger sister Yu Ai.
These two siblings were born on July 22, 2022. The male panda weighed 132 grams and the female panda weighed 91 grams at birth. They are thriving with the care of panda keepers at Chongqing Zoo.
Their mother Er Shun, born on Aug. 10, 2007, used to live at Toronto Zoo and Calgary Zoo in Canada from March 2013 and returned to China at the end of November 2020. In March last year, Er Shun mated with Qing Qing at the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Panda in Sichuan Province.
