On Thursday, a truck carrying 200 disaster relief tents and 200 sets of thickened down sleeping bags sped out of Dacheng Industrial Park in Qingbaijiang District of Chengdu, capital of China's Sichuan Province. The relief supplies were going to arrive at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in 20 hours and then be transported to the earthquake-hit areas in Syria by an international flight.

The donation was made by an emergency supplies manufacturer in Chengdu. A few days ago, 100 tents produced by the company were transported by land to Shanghai Pudong International Airport, and arrived in the earthquake zone in Türkiye.

The head of the company said that after learning the news of the earthquake, the company urgently recalled employees who were on leave. Then, all employees began to produce relief supplies. The head of the China Blue Sky Rescue Team contacted the company on Feb. 10 and introduced the urgent need for tents and sleeping bags in Syria. It took less than five days to produce, pack and load 200 tents and 200 sets of thickened down sleeping bags.
