(ECNS) -- China's humanoid robot market is expected to hit 8.239 billion yuan (about $1.12 billion) in 2025, accounting for nearly 50 percent of the global market, according to a report released on Tuesday in Beijing.
At the 2nd Chinese Human Robot and Embodied Intelligence Industry Conference, the report shows that China's embodied intelligence market will reach 5.295 billion yuan in 2025, accounting for around 27 percent of the global total.
The report notes that since 2024, the humanoid robot industry has shown a clear trend of continuous technological advancement and innovation, steady market expansion, diversification of application scenarios, increased policy support and capital investment, as well as strengthened international cooperation and exchanges.
Humanoid robots and embodied intelligence are becoming a strategic frontier in global technological innovation. The global embodied intelligence market is projected to grow to 19.525 billion yuan in 2025 and surge to 232.63 billion yuan by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of 64.18 percent. The main drivers in the short term will be automation and manufacturing, followed by healthcare and logistics, it shows.
The report suggests that China should leverage its vast domestic market to overcome technological bottlenecks, strengthen self-reliant supply chains, and accelerate deployment across diverse scenarios. By doing so, China could shift its role from a partial leader to a global frontrunner in the humanoid robotics and embodied intelligence sectors.
