(ECNS) -- A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck Lazi County in Xigaze City of southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region at 5:11 a.m. Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The county responded quickly, and all towns and villages are checking the earthquake's impact. Rescue personnel have rushed to the epicenter. Collapsed houses and casualties are under further verification.
