(ECNS) — The Beijing Promotion Symposium for the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) was held on Thursday in the Chinese capital.
During the event, Jordanian Ambassador to China Hussam Al Husseini spoke highly of China's evolving business environment.
"The development of the business environment in China was very much encouraging, and at the same time, very promising," Husseini told China News Network in an exclusive interview.

The ambassador commended the Chinese government's efforts in enhancing business climate. "The measures that have been taken by the government — on the policy level, the legislative level, and also in terms of business promotion — were very encouraging," he said. "They proved to be very successful through the figures we have seen in recent years."
He added that China's opening up is giving more opportunities for international interaction, including with his country Jordan. "China has become Jordan's second-largest trading partner, and our cooperation continues to grow in trade, commerce, and investment."
Husseini emphasized Jordan's strategic location and its potential as a regional hub for logistics and trade. "Jordan is a very important country in terms of logistics and its strategic location in the heart of the Middle East, connecting three continents — Africa, Asia, and Europe," he said, expressing his confidence in the country's potential to become a key logistical hub in the region.
"It could also be a very important redistribution and warehousing center for many commodities and for many Chinese products and services," he continued, noting that many Chinese businesses have already been established in Jordan and are benefiting from the incentives that Jordan is providing for foreign investors.
In addition to logistics, Husseini highlighted other key sectors with strong cooperation potential between China and Jordan.
Jordan also has strengths in digital technology and information and communication technology (ICT), especially in Arabic-language digital content, he said. The talented Jordanians are proving excellent in that sense. He also mentioned renewable energy, water resource management, environmental protection, consumer goods, chemicals, fertilizers, and pharmaceuticals as promising areas for further cooperation between the two countries.
The 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade will take place from Sept. 8 to 11 in Xiamen, Fujian Province. Organized by China's Ministry of Commerce, this year's fair will feature the United Kingdom as the Guest Country of Honor and Jiangsu Province as the Guest Province of Honor.
