1. Xi meets representatives of international business community
China has been and will remain an ideal, secure, and promising destination for foreign investors, Chinese President Xi Jinping said while meeting with representatives of the international business community in Beijing on Friday.
Xi pointed out that the country, which is on a Chinese path to modernization in all respects, has been a major contributor to and anchor of stability for global growth for many years.
Committed to the fundamental national policy of opening up to the world, China is advancing high-standard opening up and taking solid steps to expand institutional opening up, such as that of rules, regulations, management, and standards, Xi said.

2. China unveils regulation on implementing anti-foreign sanctions law
Chinese Premier Li Qiang has signed a State Council decree to unveil the regulation on implementing the anti-foreign sanctions law, comprising 22 articles, set to take effect on Monday.
According to the regulation, China will enhance its countermeasures. It specifies the seizure, detention and freezing of "other types of assets," "relevant transactions, cooperation and other activities" that are prohibited or restricted as well as "other necessary measures" stipulated in the anti-foreign sanctions law.
China will also refine countermeasure procedures and strengthen coordination among various departments under the State Council, according to the regulation.

3.G1 robot makes Shanghai Fashion Week debut
In a groundbreaking fusion of fashion and technology, Unitree Robotics' humanoid robot G1 and its robotic dog companion strutted onto the runway during Shanghai Fashion Week on Wednesday.
The showcase, presented by avant-garde label NMTG, delivered a performance that was less traditional catwalk and more immersive behavioral art.
The moment came after the models had completed their walk. A robotic dog suddenly flipped mid-stage, revealing a custom outfit. Then, the G1 humanoid robot sprang to life, interacting with a blue-clad model who shook its hand and adorned it with a 3D-printed necklace shaped like a deer – a symbol of harmony and hope.

4.7.9-magnitude quake strikes Myanmar, tremors felt in China's Yunnan
A 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar at 2:20 p.m. Friday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC). Tremors were felt in many areas in southwest China's Yunnan Province, which borders Myanmar.

5. China releases top 10 scientific advances of 2024
The National Natural Science Foundation of China released the country's top 10 scientific advances of 2024 during the opening ceremony of the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum (ZGC Forum) Annual Conference in Beijing on Thursday.
The advances were mainly achieved in the fields of mathematics, physics, astronomy, information science, chemistry, materials science, energy, earth and environmental science, and life and medical science.
The list includes the Chang'e-6 mission's returned samples, which revealed volcanic activity on the far side of the moon dating back 2.8 billion years, the realization of intelligent reasoning and training using large-scale photonic computing chips, and the discovery of key evidence that supermassive black holes affect the formation and evolution of their host galaxies.

6.Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 opens in Hainan
The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2025 opened on Thursday in Boao, south China's Hainan Province.
Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, attended the opening ceremony.
Founded in 2001, the BFA is a non-governmental and non-profit international organization committed to promoting regional economic integration and bringing Asian countries closer to their development goals. Running from March 25 to 28, this year's conference is themed "Asia in the Changing World: Towards a Shared Future."
Addressing the opening ceremony, Ding said that significant progress has been made in building an Asian community with a shared future over the past decade.

7.2025 Zhongguancun Forum opens in Beijing
The 2025 Zhongguancun Forum, China's flagship platform for global tech collaboration, kicked off in Beijing Thursday morning.Themed "New Quality Productive Forces and Global Technology Cooperation," this year's annual conference of the forum comprises five major sections, including meetings and technology trading. At the opening ceremony, China made it clear that it aims to further open up, while deeply implementing the strategy of innovation-driven development.

8.10-year-old boy rescued after drifting at sea for a day and night
A 10-year-old boy from Chiling Village in southern China was rescued after drifting at sea for a full day and night. He went fishing but was swept away by waves, floating in the South China Sea until a passing fishing boat spotted him.
Fishermen were impressed by his ability to stay aboard his kayak. Thankfully, he was brought ashore, and the police reunited him with his family.

9. China sends new data relay satellite into space
A Long March-3B carrier rocket carrying the Tianlian II-04 satellite blasts off from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Wednesday. Tianlian II-04, China's second-generation geosynchronous orbit data-relay satellite, will provide data relay and TT&C (telemetry, tracking and command) services for manned spacecraft such as spaceships and space stations, for medium and low-Earth-orbit resource satellites, and TT&C support for spacecraft launches.
This was the 565th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.

10. Giant panda Fu Bao meets public after over 100 days of rehabilitation

Fu Bao, the first giant panda born in the Republic of Korea (ROK), met the public for first time in 2025 following a rehabilitation period for more than 100 days on Tuesday. She was transferred to an inner enclosure for a thorough medical examination to determine the cause of its discomfort after exhibiting concerning symptoms in December 2024.
