(ECNS) -- The mutual visa exemption agreement between China and Uzbekistan will officially come into effect on June 1, 2025, according to the Department of Consular Affairs of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
Holders of valid Chinese passports for public affairs or ordinary public affairs, and ordinary passports, as well as Uzbek citizens holding ordinary passports, will be exempt from visa requirements for entry, exit, or transit through the other country.
Visa-free stay is limited to a maximum of 30 days per visit and no more than 90 days within any 180-day period.
Travelers intending to remain beyond 30 days, or planning to reside, work, study, engage in journalism, or undertake other activities requiring prior approval, must apply for the appropriate visa before entering the host country.
