China's Henan province unveils practical quantum-resistant cryptographic chip
(ECNS) -- Central China's Henan Province has made a major leap in quantum security technology with the official launch of its first practical, fully domestically developed quantum-resistant cryptographic chip, "MiXin PQC01."
Developed by Zhengzhou Xinda Yimi Technology Co., Ltd., the chip was successfully taped out at Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation.
As the first multi-scenario, adaptive quantum-resistant cryptographic chip, MiXin PQC01 represents a self-reliant solution to the rising cybersecurity threats posed by quantum computing.
Quantum computing is advancing rapidly, threatening the integrity of traditional encryption algorithms. Key sectors such as financial transactions, national defense communications, and government data management face potential exposure to quantum decryption. Quantum-resistant cryptography, which integrates advanced mathematical theory with chip architecture, is designed to withstand attacks from quantum computers.
