據環境保護部網站消息,為進一步加強大氣污染防治工作,中國將在重點控制區的火電、鋼鐵、石化、水泥、有色、化工等六大行業以及燃煤鍋爐項目執行大氣污染物特別排放限值。
Beijing (ECNS) -- China will impose pollutant emission caps in six industries in key monitoring areas of 47 cities, according to information released Wednesday by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
The six industries are: thermal power generation, iron and steel, petrochemical, cement, non-ferrous metal and chemical industries.
The 47 cities are spread across 19 provinces, mainly in developed city clusters such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta.
New projects will be strictly examined before getting approved in the key monitoring areas.
New projects in industries of thermal power generation, iron and steel, which have already released pollutant emission caps, will implement the new rules starting April 1, and other industries will follow when the new caps are released, the Ministry said.
Thermal power generation and steel factories that fail to meet the limit should take steps, and those that still fall short of the standards after restructuring will face production limits or closures.
